Center-cut pork chops with braised fennel

Be still my heart pork chops.
Do you want to try a recipe that's quick, easy and under $10 for the whole family? I made this a month ago after trying to do something different with the pork chops I got on sale at Kroger. They were BOGO so I had double the amount I usually have.

You have to make these. Now. Really. They are that good.

Plus, the recipe only has four ingredients in it. Simple.

Pork chops with fennel
from the martha stewart cookbook

Cast and crew:
Olive Oil
4 loin pork chops (just get the ones without bones)
Some good ole Kosher salt and pepper
1/2 cup of chopped fennel (fresh, just ask your friendly grocier if you can't find it)
Juice of 2 oranges

In a large heavy skillet, heat the oil and saute the pork chops over medium-high heat for 13-15 minutes, turning twice. Yes, you have to only turn twice. No cheating!

Sprinkle the chops with salt and pepper and fennel during the last five minutes. You are almost there! Can you smell the amazing pork chops already!

Remove those beauties from the skillet and put on a plate to rest.

Deglaze (juice gets up all that great greasy goodness) the skillet with the orange juice and bring to a boil. Reduce the liquid by one fourth and spoon over the chops.
